Good Afternoon or Good Evening?

Alongside my Exeter evening comedy workshops, in September I started daytime sessions, and they’ve been hugely popular and enormously enjoyable.
So much so, the attendees want to return! Hurrah!
I thought daytime might feel different, but they’re as much fun as the evening sessions. And next week we have the end of course showcases for all three - something to look forward to.
On week one, someone remarked they thought we’d sit around and write. They were hesitantly and pleasantly surprised to hit the mic - I think. For me, it’s a case of do it now, repeat it, and discover nothing terrible happens. It works.
Rather wonderful seeing people drop their social / everyday masks to express themselves with humour.
Some will be performing at my next stand-up comedy Mash-Ups at The Citygate Hotel in Exeter, on Thursday 22 October and Sunday 27 December. Come and see them take the plunge.
Also on 27 December, there’s a chilled-out comedy workshop. A chance to find your funny after the seasonal shenanigans. Book now for a spot.
Next round of comedy courses start in the New Year. Book early as they fill up fast.
Chrissy, on my daytime course, said at the beginning that she was a little nervous about joining, adding “It’s been so joyous. It really has filled my heart with something that’s been missing for a long time. I can’t wait for the next course to begin in January.” Wonderful...
Fancy giving yourself - or a pal - the gift of comedy? Come on... you know you want to. Afternoon or evening works both ways… dip a toe?
As usual, a huge thanks for your support from Maggie and the team :)
