Masterclass or even Micsterclass…

I have always a mix of women, men, and more recently, trans, on my comedy courses.

More women are turning to stand up and comedy characters (a great mask) to share their stories. Using humour to entertain and heal is a tip top skill.

Recently, I was featured in a copy of Devon Life, and then Athena, a publication that shines a spotlight on the brilliant women running businesses across Devon. The article, which encompasses a number of women’s voices, emphasises how storytelling and humour gives an outlet to women saying what needs to be said – and in my case, with playfulness and an accompanying punchline.

On Tuesdays, in July, I am delivering some masterclasses on clowning and stand up; audience interaction, and comedy character writing/performing. Whether you'd like to dip a toe in the comedy waters or dive in (oversized clown shoes not required) there's something for everyone.

Dates: Tuesdays 14, 21 and 28 July 1pm–3pm or 7pm–9pm (or both, if you fancy a comedy double helping).

I also recently attended a comedy character discussion at the Exeter Comedy Festival and was interested to see how others do it. Always good when professional development comes with a side order of affirmation.

We never stop learning after all :)Workshops are open to anyone aged 18 and over.

As usual, a huge thanks for your support from Maggie and the team :)
