Come Up and See Us: Good Times!
In last week's The Sunday Times, Exmouth was listed as “One of The Best Places To Live 2024”.
I’ve lived in Exmouth a long time, though I am originally from Preston. That’s Preston Lancashire, not Preston, Paignton, or Preston, Minnesota.
I am very lucky to live close to the sea – a bit of bliss on the doorstep with views that stretch from Mamhead and along the coast towards Torbay - so I have to agree with this appraisal by the Times. There is also a pretty positive community in the town: Gorgeous gardens, folks that smile back, spotless beach, squirrels scoffing peanuts, even waggish dogs!
To add to the positive vibe, I am bringing more good times to Exmouth by organising another stand up comedy night - Exmouth Mash-Up.
Smashing local comedians knocking out their best material. We hope you leave feeling joyous after a good time. There may even be peanuts at the bar! Uness I've got there first!
Easter Saturday night, upstairs in The Parade Nightclub. Doors open 7:30 for 8pm start. Only £5 in advance or £7.50 on the door! Part proceeds donated to Alzheimer’s Society.
If you want to have a go at comedy writing and performing, get in touch with Maggie: www.maggieiriving.com There are lots of opportunities on the near horizon. You could be gigging in Exmouth one day, or even at The London Apollo! Yes!
If you can't make the Exmouth Mash-Up, join us for the Exeter one on Thursday 4 April.
As usual, a huge thanks for your support from Maggie and the team :)
