YES DRILL SERGEANT!
I’m cleaning out my colon – oh, and my liver, kidneys and onions! I’m doing a Dyno-Rod style detox in the mystical place where King Arthur may be buried, where Joseph of Arimathea is said to have walked, where ley lines converge – yes – Glastonbury. It’s a tough but remarkably fulfilling gig, and well worth the endurance: A bright bonce; clear colon and shimmering, shiny eyes (mmm, what an image!) People ask me, “Why do you do it?” My response is: If you had a car for years and years and only polished it and vacuumed it and occasionally tinkered under the bonnet, it wouldn’t be running at its best. So, this is my MOT. My first stab at stand up was back in 2000, when I reminisced on flushing my grumbling colon with 17 litres of coffee and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar - and then viewing the outcomes Mmm... Sorry – you had to be there – at the gig – NOT in the bathroom. That cleanse took place in Thailand – simply heaven – but now – with thoughts of my Carbon Footprint – I am in another special place: The Isle of Avalon.
