Forget it Not!

I am concerned about mixing up my sons’ names. In revenge, they’ve started calling me “Dad.” Nice. It’s normal to mix up your kid’s manes, isn’t it? Busy, busy, busy. Last week I was lecturing at Marjon University; teaching stand up at Exeter Citygate Hotel, and then compèring the Comedy Mash Up at said hotel on Thursday night, prior to compèring the Exmouth Chamber of Commerce Chamber Awards, on Friday. Phew! Sometimes, I think I forget because I have too much to remember. And so, the answer is? Research shows that staying mentally and socially active can reduce the risk of Alzheimers and other dementias. And so, I’m thankful to be busy. But maybe this is OTT? I do love it though – well most of it… I am running my end of course stand-up comedy showcase tomorrow evening and I will remember my set and the comedians’ names… fingers crossed. Let me know if you would like to watch or join me on the next stand up comedy course which starts on 17 October at The Exeter City Gate Hotel. Here’s some testimonials if you’re hesitant about booking. • Really great, Maggie creates a very welcoming environment, Loved it. • It was very supportive, inspiring and encouraging • Had no expectations – just wanted to feel creative. Really enjoyed it – learned lots about techniques and also how to apply fun!! • Lots of good ideas, nice having Maggie there supporting and explaining techniques. More practice? I don’t know – good for the first go! • Some spontaneously funny people. Well led :)

As usual, have a lovely week and thanks for your continued support Maggie and the team :)
