March / April updates and forthcoming events!
It’s no secret that smiling and laughing support wellness. Comedians often remark how the stand up comedy classes have helped them through challenging times: Part of the reason I wanted to try comedy was because I enjoyed making people laugh in the pub but it was also a positive distraction and a way of looking after my own mental health. Jane. Join a class if you would like support. Comedy Matters.
Some Comedy Matters class alumni – past and present - performed at last Thursday’s Comedy Mash Up, in Exeter. It was thrilling to see a range of funny sets delivered with aplomb. Topics included Canadian weather; being a red head, taking risks; Oscar Pistorius, the Menopause, ADHD, a Kiwi – not the fruit variety... and much more. It was notable how much humour comes out of tricky times. Have you got any challenges you would like to turn into humour? Join us on the next round of classes on Tuesday 16 April.
I have branched out this year to support businesses with their staff mental wellness; along with improving communications and bringing a little light heartedness to the workplace. If you are interested in finding out how a bespoke session might work for you, please get in touch.
