Been a few disappointments and dark times recently – personal and business, where I have been laid low. But beginning to bounce back, thanks to a huge amount of support from people all around me. Thank you peeps for your kindness, understanding, and words of wisdom and care. Much appreciated.
Someone asked me recently, how do people create humour out of serious situations, including climate change. Humans have always crafted dark humour as a coping mechanism and relief and there are few occasions that a little humour cannot be made out of tragedy. I have been at many serious events where a mistaken pronunciation of a name has created ripples of laughter and helped sooth the agony. Thank goodness for this medicine. I am glad I teach comedy, perform comedy – daily – and help others do the same.
We have a Stand Up comedy night at Exeter City Gate on Friday 27 December. Tickets are going super fast so book soon. The performers are all people who have been to one of my workshops or classes and are building their sets and confidence. These are some seriously funny people, so come and enjoy a night out.
My stand up comedy Mash-Ups have been such a success, and I am super pleased and proud of all the people who have given it a go and continue to do so. Such super funny people!
