A bit of a blip...

Over 20 years ago, a pro comedian told me, you need a hundred gigs to feel at ease (he actually said, “couldn’t care less”) when delivering a comedy set. I would add ‘and practice several times a week’ – in the car, in front of a mirror, in the shower, to the dog, or better still, in front of humans…

Platforms to build skills and confidence in stand up comedy were few and far between in the Exeter and Exmouth area, and so I kicked off stand up comedy Mash-Ups with the interest and support of comedians who had attended my workshops.

We’ve been delivering Mash-Ups for over a year now and have raised a remarkable amount of money for Alzheimer’s Society, St Petrock’s homelessness charity, and transition Exmouth. Thanks to all concerned including the performers, venues and audiences who have supported the comics on their comedy journey.

Regretfully, I had to cancel tonight’s Mash-Up at the City Gate Hotel in Exeter. Super stonkered this week, after a gargantuan DIY project, house move and parent care. But the Mash-Ups will return on Thursday 7 November with a bumper night of new comedians and regulars.
