Lost it!

We lost it. I've just lost the chance to spend a whole week with my mum, due to being Covid positive. Oh, those double-crossing lines on the test kit! Thankfully, now free of the pox and no longer have a huge, dominable, black cross painted on my front door – phew!

My creative comedy class came up with plenty of humorous and poignant lists of things they had lost in their lifetime – especially funny when spoken whilst pretending to eat one’s favourite food: Handbag, coat, glasses, money, one half of a pair of socks (who hasn’t?) boyfriend, bank codes, sense of style, sense of humour, looks. Oh, and a 3.2 ton camper van! Bad luck Jane… Life is filled with loss, disappointment and problems, which all are pretty challenging and miserable at the time, but when we can craft comedy from adversity, then things don’t seem so bad. That’s not to say that there aren’t boundaries around these topics, moreover that we just master a new way of looking at them and transforming them into something positive (just like my Covid test!) Hope that none of my readers have ‘lost it’. And if you have, may you find mirth at some point soon. Clown and comedy class coming soon – March 18 and my next 6 week online course kicks off on 22 March. See links below. Oh, and I have launched my BRAND NEW WEBSITE: https://www.maggieirving.com/ - check it out and let me know what you think! :)

As usual, big thanks and love from Maggie and the Comedy Matters team - and have a great week :)
